Canaan Valley Resort - West Virginia

This award winning resort is nestled inside 6,000 acres of spectacular West Virginia park land in one of the highest regions east of the Mississippi (3,200 ft. above see level). Our Nation's 500th wildlife preserve is located minutes from the resort.

Over the past couple years, Caanan Valley Resort widened and improved its trails, added new rental equipment (including shaped skis and snowboards) and enhanced snowmaking capabilities to help provide a fun experience for skiers of all levels.

Tubing Park

Slide 600 feet down the mountain using specially designed riding tubes. A handle tow will pull you to the top of the hill -- all the fun without the walking. Fun for the whole family.

Ice Skating

The picturesque outdoor, lighted ice skating rink overlooks the valley and Allegheny Mountains.

Ski & Play

Our "Bear Paws" snow camp offers ski instruction for children ages 5 to 12. "Big Bears" is for new skiers ages 6 through 12. Child care available in the base lodge.

Visitors also can enjoy four cross-country skiing centers nearby.
