Crystal Mountain Resort - Washington
Crystal Mountain is nestled in the shadow of 14,408-foot Mt. Rainier, and offers stunning views of Mt. Rainier from the summit. It is famous for the cold Cascade storms that can dump several feet of fresh snow anytime from November through April.
With more than 2,300 acres of fabulous skiing and 3,100 vertical feet, you will find every kind of skiing you can imagine.
Although expert skiers are attracted to the area for its rugged terrain and deep snow, less advanced skiers should not be intimidated. Crystal offers a wide variety of skiing for every level of ability.
The better you ski, the more of the mountain you can enjoy and the more fun you'll have. The philosophy of Crystal's Skier Improvement Services is to make skiing more fun.
Crystal Mountain has the largest staff of full-time professional ski instructors in the Pacific Northwest.
Kids Club programs are designed to meet the needs of skiing parents and kids, eliminating the hassle of taking the family skiing. The Children's Skier Improvement Center in the base area enables parents to drop off their kids and get right on the slopes.
Crystal Mountain is a self-contained village with everything you need during the day and apres-ski. There is a wide variety of on-slope lodging to choose from -- from economical hotel rooms to comfortable condominiums with kitchens and fireplaces -- all in the middle of the fun at Crystal Mountain.
From Seattle, drive south on I-5, take Exit 142A east to Auburn, Highway 164 to Enumclaw and U.S. 410 east for 33 miles through Snoqualmie National Forest to the Crystal Road. The ski area is 76 miles from Seattle. There is also a shuttle service from Seattle and surrounding areas.
