Swain Ski Center is located 55 miles south of Rochester, N.Y., off of Route 390 south.

Swain is a family ski area with wide open trails and a 650-foot vertical drop. The area has terrain for all level skiers and snowboarders. Shredders will enjoy a wide trail network, quad lift system and uncrowded slopes, complete with a half-pipe and snowboard park.

Lessons for adults skiers and snowboarders are available on a daily basis through Swain's PSIA Ski School.

The area boasts one of the largest base lodges in western New York, which includes a restaurant, ski check, basket check, two bars and a large cafeteria.

To get to Swain from Rochester, take I-390 south to Dansville Exit 4. Take Route 36 south and then go right onto Route 70.

From Elmira and Corning, take Southern Tier Expressway (Rt. 17) west to Hornell/Arkport Exit 34N. Take Route 36 north and then go left on Route 70.
