Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride Area - New Hampshire

Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride Area
The Long Awaited Return Has Arrived

Peak Resorts purchased the ski resort in 2002 and has created a 3 to 5 year development plan for the mountain, converting it into a modern ski & ride area.
Crotched's mission is to provide skiers and snowboarders of all ages with a new choice of winter recreation in New England!

Prior to starting construction, all old buildings were torn down, the old snowmaking pipes were dug up, the lifts were removed and the grounds were totally reshaped. All materials were ecologically disposed of and removed from the site. A new location for the top terminal of the main quad chairlift was blasted and reshaped just below the summit for protection from wind and weather. The slopes were cleared, widened and graded for optimum skier and boarder pleasure.

The owners of Crotched Mountain Ski and Snowboard Resort place their primary focus on the snowmaking system. The completely new three and a half million dollar snowmaking system includes all new pipes looped throughout the property with one hundred and twenty five snowmaking outlets, ninety five SMI FAN snowmaking guns of which seventy five are permanently tower mounted. Twenty movable guns that can be hooked up to another fifty snowmaking outlets are located on the western part of the mountain and in tight access areas. The twenty million gallon snowmaking reservoir was dug this past winter and completed in early spring. The snowmaking installation is in place on the mountain ready to be fired up in late November. The system is capable to pump six thousand gallons of water per minute which translates into complete coverage of the entire mountain within seventy two hours of snowmaking.
