Black Mountain - Maine

Black Mountain

Black Mountain shines as a ski and recreation area the whole family can enjoy.

First time skiers as well as the novice skier can enjoy easy-going skiing on our gentle learning slopes, while the more advanced skiers can navigate the traditional trails winding through scenic splendor.

Experts head for the top where the views of Mt. Washington are as exciting as a schuss down Upper Maple Slalom.

Intermediates relax with a top to bottom cruise down Black Beauty, or long looping Bob A Link.

For first-timers there's plenty of wide open, gentle terrain where a little practice will send your skiing ability, along with your confidence, soaring.

Friendly people are the heart of Black Mountain and we welcome skiers with over 60 years of rich skiing history.

Everyone here is easy to get to know, and our focus is toward family - the terrain, mountain personnel and even the type of skiers Black attracts, which means that kids are naturally safe and well supervised. Parents at Black are assured of a relaxing and enjoyable day of their own.

Out on the slopes the fun never stops with special events and activities throughout the season. We invite all our skiers to take part in the lively antics of obstacle courses, family fun races, NASTAR competitions, telemark clinics, snowboard championships and much more.
