Novice To Expert, Trails For Everyone

Butternut is ideal for beginners and families with children. With 22 trails on 110 skiable acres, it is a great place to learn the basics or perfect your turns.

Snowboarders are welcome on all trails, and there is a Progression style Terrain Park along one side of Cruiser. While a more advanced park setup can be found on our Twist and West Way trails.

There are 350 professionally trained instructors who will give you personalized instruction. For children 4 to 12, there is our Adventurers (ski) or our miniRIDERS (snowboard) program designed to teach kids the basics and how to have fun, too.

Skier services include a Children's Center (Daycare) for youngsters ages 6 months to 6 years, ski rental and repair shop, ski shop and a cafeteria.

Although you will not find any overnight lodging on the mountain, a great selection of B&B's, Country Inns, Hotels, Motels, Resorts lodging accommodations as well as an incredible amount of dining selections and apres ski may be found close by in Great Barrington - described as the #1 Small Town in America by Smithsonian Mag.

Easy To Find

Ski Butternut is located 2 miles east of Great Barrington, Mass., on Route 23. From New York, take the Taconic State Parkway north to Claverack/Route 23 exit; Route 23 East. From Albany, take I-90 east to Exit B3; Route 102 to West Stockbridge; Route 41 south to Route 23 East.

From Hartford, take Route 44 West to Canaan, Conn.; North on Route 7; East on Route 23.

From Springfield, Mass., and points East, take I-90 West to Exit 2; West on Route 102; South on Route 7 to Route 23 East. more info can be found at
