Ski Snowstar - Illinois

Ski Snowstar
Family Oriented

Ski Snowstar is a family-oriented, learn-to-ski area. Located in beautiful Coal Creek Valley, just five miles west of the Quad Cities in Andalusia, Ill., (just off Illinois Route 92).

Take advantage of 28 acres of skiable terrain designed for all levels of skill.

North Star, Big Dipper, Solar Spin, and Big Bang offer intermediate skiers fun and a challenge, while more experienced skiers test their skills on seven advanced runs.

Two quad and two double chairlifts provide you with quick, pleasant rides to the top, so you spend more time skiing. A magic carpet has been added to the main teaching hill, making lessons much easier.

The area is serviced by a day lodge with a cafeteria and bar and ski rentals.

The Snowstar Ski School is PSIA-certified and a great place to learn. There is even a Pre-Ski program for toddlers.

As at most Midwestern ski areas, skiing takes place from early December through mid-March. Ski Snowstar has extensive snowmaking over 100 percent of the area, and the area is lighted for night skiing.

To get to Ski Snowstar, take Illinois Route 92 to Andalusia and follow the signs.
