Coppervale Ski Area - California

Down Home Skiing

Stover Mountain Recreational Facility is a non profit organization. Strictly manned by volunteers. It is a community supported ski/board facility.

Stover Mountain has a small terrain park consisting of 1 small jump and one large jump, 2 rails, 1 slide tube and 1 box. Also two quarter pipes as well. We offer up to eight different runs, from beginning to extreme skiers/boarders. All groomed runs, but lots of powder too. If you are into extreme skiing/boarding taking a small hike to the top will lead you to a 10 ft jump into powder. There is a historical warming hut and a small concession stand open with refreshments available. For those who don't ski it is a great place to come and watch. Great scenic views at the top for snowshoers and skier/boarders.

Stover Mountain is about a 10 minute drive from Chester. It offers eight runs ranging from beginner to advanced. Accessed by one of the longest rope tows in the U.S. The 13-acre site ranges from a base elevation of 5,100 feet to 5,600 feet at the top.
